What does the job of a personal insurance broker consist of?

Personal insurance brokers advise individual clients on their auto , home, life, travel, motorcycle, RV and other personal insurance needs. At Assur360, you represent 15+ insurance companies and shop around to offer the best coverage at the best price to each client. Unlike a captive agent (Beneva, Desjardins, Intact directly), you are independent and you can compare several insurers.

Your days are divided between: analysis of the client’s needs, quotes with several insurers, sales/renewals, and after-sales service (endorsements, changes, light claims). All via our internal CRM Volata which automates reminders and documentation.

Prerequisites to apply

  • Ideal: valid AMF Personal Lines Damage Insurance Broker Licence
  • Without certification: DEC, professional training or experience in sales/customer service + desire to obtain your LLQP (paid by Assur360)
  • Fluency on the phone and writing in French
  • Motivation, listening and honesty towards customers
  • Impeccable ethics (we are members in good standing of the AMF and the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages de dommages)

Is teleworking really 100% or do you have to come to Thetford Mines?
Yes, 100% telecommuting for this position. The Thetford Mines head office is available for those who prefer an office environment, but it is never mandatory.
Can I start part-time?
Yes, we accept part-time brokers (25 to 30 hours/week) for those in transition or studying. The LLQP can also be done on a part-time basis.
